LADROME is a producer of plants on its farm at Gigors et Lozeron (Drome). Products are grown within the vicinity of Drome Valley, located between the Vercors mountains and Provence in South-eastern France. Our plants are harvested at its peak, processed and packaged at our laboratory or distillery. This ensures the freshness, potency and effectiveness.
Thanks to its producer group, the SICA BIO-PLANTES which groups together 50 farmers installed in South-East France cultivating 300 acres of organic plants. In Ladrome, the bacteriological values are tested on each batch using analyses. Besides, the fragmentation of the plants is done so as to have an optimum diffusion of the components in water (dimension of the particles from 0.2 to 2mm), the individual wrapping means that the maximum number of active elements are conserved (in particular the essential oils contained in aromatic plants). Hence, the herbal teas are made using the pharmaceutical controls.
All of La Drome products are Ecocert monitored and certified organic by the French Ministry of Agriculture and clearly labeled as such. The logo is given to products containing at least 95% of organic ingredients which are controlled by a government-regulated certifying body. The remaining 5% of ingredients must figure on a list of authorized substances (for example: additives or ingredients that are not available in organic).
Hence, the AB logo guarantees that the CEE modified ruling no 2092/91 of 24th June 1991 on organic production is respected. By the way, ECOCERT SAS F-32600 L'ISLE JOURDAIN is the independent certifying body which checks that the raw material complies with the European specifications on organic agriculture, in particular:
• traceability of all ingredients, from the producer to the end products.
• the absence of pesticides or of synthetic fertilizers on the cultivated plants.
• the non-use of GMOs.
• the absence of pollution on the harvest sites as well as the non-destructive nature of the harvest for the natural balance of nature.
• the non-use of irradiation for the conservation and decontamination of the plants.
